Les Denver Broncos et leur emblématique quarterback Peyton Manning ont remporté la 50e édition du Super Bowl face aux Carolina Panthers 24 à 10, dimanche à San Francisco. Carolina qui n'avait concédé qu'une seule défaite cette saison, a largement déçu ses supporters, en particulier son exubérant quarterback Cam Newton qui, à 26 ans pour son premier Super Bowl, a vécu une journée cauchemardesque. Les Panthers, habitués à assommer d'entrée leurs adversaires, ont toujours été menés au score et n'ont jamais trouvé la solution face à la défense très agressive des Broncos. Une défaite qui peut s'expliquer en partie par la blessure grave du linebacker (défenseur) Thomas Davis. Mais, comme il l'a posté sur son compte Instagram, il a pu remonter sur le terrain grâce à l'excellent travail des médecins.
